“Were You There?” is a tenebrae service that takes the observer into the shadow with the passion and death of Jesus. It is a dramatic narration in which each dancer takes turns symbolizing in movement the betrayer and betrayed, interspersed with intervals of prayer, incorporating the observer into the events unfolding before them.
