The theme of this year's Soundings is all about the Core Values of the Sisters of St. Joseph. This first issue focuses on Gracious Hospitality. It's 20 pages long so may take a bit of time to download. But it's worth the wait.

Soundings Update reports on two recent events. Our October 17 Congregation Gathering which I already wrote about and a talk given our Vocation Coordinator and another sister at a local college. The title of the article: Are Brothers Nuns? Unraveling Stereotypes of Religious Life offers a glimpse into the experience.

ReplyDeleteI am so delighted to find your most interesting blog. I am NOT a sister (except to my 5 brothers & 1 sister) but I feel I know you and your Sisters in Religion. Just down the road from my home is beautiful Llantarnam Abbey and the Sisters of St Joseph of Annecy. I know you are of the same order and, because several of the Sisters at Llantarnam Abbey are good friends of mine, I feel quite excited at finding your blog. Of course, the Bonus is the fact that your blog is good! So, I will certainly be looking in FREQUENTLY! God bless you all.
You're quite right. We are the same order of sisters. In fact I visited Annecy a few years ago. I also spent a week in London with the Annecy sisters. Although I've never been to the Llantarnam Abbey they have told me all about it.
